The collaboration between co-founders Koen Vanmechelen and Willem Ombelet is based on the concept of cross-fertilisation between art and science. This philosophy is embodied by the enigmatic glass egg with chicken legs, the symbol of The Walking Egg project.
Vanmechelen is creating a series of numbered and signed reproductions of his work, each of which will be sold at the price of one low-cost fertility treatment.
According to the artist, each fertilisation will bring together the story of an infertile woman and the owner of one of these pieces of art.
Buy a unique Koen Vanmechelen lithograph for 200 euros (exl. VAT) and support the ongoing activities of The Walking Egg, including its scientific and socio-cultural initiatives.
